Learn how to become an Active Bystander

Students are invited to take part in an innovative programme to empower you to become an active bystander. The University’s Bystander Initiative programme will train you how be pro-social citizens in the prevention of violence and abuse by learning to identity problematic behaviour and intervene in a safe and effective way.

The programme takes place over 8 hours and offers the opportunity to learn what you can do to be an active bystander against sexual violence and domestic abuse. Several hundred students have already completed this programme with very positive feedback.

The programme is running several times throughout the semester and is mostly being delivered face to face, with the exception of the course in Progress week (4th and 5th Nov) which is being run online.
